Shadow Maven

Shadow Maven is a writer, teacher, mother, and student and practitioner of healing arts and the metaphysical. With a diploma in early childhood education and a background in childcare and child development, she has spent much of her life inspiring kids and being inspired by them in return. Her pastimes include reading, researching, and working with crystals for healing and meditation. She lives in Penticton, British Columbia with her daughter. The Crystal Alphabet is her first book.

There are also brief, kid-friendly descriptions of each crystal’s metaphysical properties, introducing an understanding of crystal energies and how crystals can help you improve your daily activities—whether you’re at home, at school, work, or play.

Many children (and adults!) struggle with fear and anxiety, bad dreams, high or low energy, and difficulty concentrating or communicating their true feelings.
